Take-up rate of student lockers

SUBANG JAYA – Taylor’s University (TU) helps students by providing convenient and affordable lockers for those who need to keep their belongings and are interested to rent them.

 

The minimum rates are RM20 for two months and RM100 for a year. 

 

A rough estimate of the locker’s pricing is RM10 per month but TU Student Central has yet to offer rental for only one month.

 

Student Central executive Edna Ruran Purait said the minimum period for renting lockers is two months.

 

“When students submit a request to rent lockers online, they can actually view the renting duration for the locker that they prefer,” she said.

 

She added that payment could be done after students submit online requests on the TU Student Central portal.

 

Lockers are not only located at block C and D but also provided at the TU Gym.

 

For the gym, rental periods are in blocks of three months, starting in January, April, July or October.

 

TU Student Central assistant manager Violet Lee said students need to renew their lockers before the expiry date if they want to continue using them.

 

“Our department has to clear their lockers after the expiry date and if students still have not cleared their locker, all their belongings will be kept for a maximum of three months where students can claim them back,” she said.
