JOHOR BAHRU – Star Wars fans were able to view a life-sized C-3PO, Darth Vader and R2-D2 at the new Star Wars Miniland Model Display addition to Legoland.
The LEGO models were put together using over 80,000 pieces of LEGO bricks.
They are also accompanied by Chewbacca, Darth Maul, Yoda and Princess Leia in the Hall of Fame.
Legoland Malaysia Resort general manager Mark Germyn was delighted to launch the new attraction which is housed in a fully air-conditioned octagon structure.
“We wanted to present our visitors with something extraordinary to celebrate our second anniversary,” Germyn said.
The venue houses 2,000 LEGO Star Wars miniature models depicting seven renowned scenes in the show.
They were built using over 1.5 million bricks, making it the first of its kind in Asia.
“The model display is unique and new in Asia.
“Thus, we think our visitors will truly enjoy themselves here, especially if they are Star Wars fans,” Germyn added.
Copywriter Lam Yun Qan, 21, said the idea is really cool for fans and she loved how the kids dressed up as little Jedis.
The experience is kept exciting and realistic using authentic Star Wars sound effects combined with lighting effects and meticulous detailing with animators and designers.
